"One Heckuva Note," Scenes J and K

We're at the girls' apartment at night again, but "back to the present."  This was omitted:

LAVERNE

...Go ahead beat me black and blue.

SHIRLEY

It's gonna be difficult from this position.

LAVERNE CLOSES HER EYES AND CRINGES.  SHIRLEY THINKS ABOUT HITTING HER.  THEY PEAK [sic] AT EACH OTHER.  SHIRLEY DROPS HER FISTS.

But they did keep Laverne saying (on her feet onscreen) that Shirley should smack her around.

They added Laverne saying that Ronnie Morehead gave her his I.D. bracelet and she was in love with him.  Also, the girls were supposed to wrestle again at the end of the scene, but onscreen Laverne chases Shirley into the bedroom.

The tag has the same setting, but the "next evening."  Laverne drying her painted nails with a 45 record was not in the script.

In the script, the only thing Carmine told Shirley he remembers about Laverne's story is Laverne's "sweaty palms," which became her "droopy nose" for filming.  Laverne was supposed to run into the bathroom after hanging up.

These last two scenes are like the first four, in that they're not drastically different from what we'd see on the air.  It is of course Scene H that is the real surprise in the script.  Well, that and Booboo Kitty's guilt trip.
